What exactly is a personal brand?

It is the manifestation of your uniqueness and demonstrating it to others.

It pursues various goals, in particular, selling services and gaining popularity/fame.

Nowadays, it is very important to manifest yourself and show your achievements.

Otherwise, people simply won't know who you are and what you represent.

I appreciated this trend when I started being invited to speak at all sorts of events, give interviews, and publish articles in various magazines.

For a specialist, one of the opportunities is professional conferences.

Here are some examples:

  1. All-Russian Occupational Health and Safety Week. Held in Sochi in late September. This is the country's largest forum dedicated to industrial safety, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation.
  2. HSE DAYS All-Russian Forum. The event of the year, bringing together the best people in the industry.
  3. BIOT 2023. The main platform for exchanging experience, discussing the latest trends in occupational safety and personal protective equipment, finding partners, and concluding contracts.

Initiative is useful.

You shouldn't wait for an organizer to call and offer a speaking slot. Send an inquiry letter where you talk about your experience and achievements. Propose cooperation. Many are interested in responsible and competent speakers. You can agree on payment for your services/transfer and accommodation if the event is in another city. Cooperation should be mutually beneficial.

We live in a digital age and it is necessary to be visible. The audience should form a certain positive impression. All of a person's qualities are evaluated.

In that case, it becomes much easier to achieve your goals, pass an interview, and generally produce the desired effect.

Effective methods:

  1. Publish regular posts and reflections with the idea you need. These can be life stories; impressions of any events, preferably where you participated; conclusions you want to share.

The publication should contain a message:

- active lifestyle;

- healthy eating;

- benefits of education;

- traveling to various countries;

- useful experience and more.

  1. A personal page on the Internet is a reflection of your life. You need to understand what you want to demonstrate: the image of a leader who always achieves results; a competent manager; a successful businessman; a traveler; an athlete.
  2. Post information regularly, not occasionally. Establish a frequency that cannot be broken: every day, once a week, once every two weeks, and so on.
  3. High-quality photos. It's better to book a photo shoot and discuss the image you want to present.

Principles:

– Shots taken on professional equipment/phone with an excellent camera.

– Dynamics: reports or seminars; active recreation; conquering peaks; sports.

– Avatar – the first impression of the page. It should only feature you, otherwise it will be difficult to understand what you look like.

– No detail is too small. A beautiful background corresponding to the publication.

– The subject of the photo should attract attention. First and foremost, people should look at them.

– Dress code: business, sporty, depending on the content of the text.

  1. The next method is videos that correspond to your worldview: quotes from famous personalities, interesting facts, tips, life lessons.
  2. Collaboration with specialized publications, in particular:

- Ecology of Production;

- HSE DAYS expert blog;

- EcoStandard.journal.

Proper positioning plays a big role and can bring huge benefits!
