VNII Truda Launches Free "Electronic HSE Platform"

The online resource helps all employers, regardless of their economic activity and company size, ensure safety in the field of HSE and better understand regulatory legal acts.

Dmitry Platygin, General Director of VNII Truda, believes that Russian employers have a pressing need for an information resource that will facilitate the effective implementation of HSE requirements and ensure safety at enterprises. This is exactly why the Electronic HSE Platform was launched.

"Today, occupational safety is not only a socially important system but also a task of increasing the country's economic efficiency. Despite improving working conditions, the number of accidents remains significant, and our goal is to eliminate the most complex causes of occupational injuries. Therefore, one of the main directions of our work is building employees' knowledge and competencies in the field of HSE. I am confident that the new information resource will help with this!" said Dmitry Platygin.

VNII Truda specialists have collected and systematized an HSE knowledge base and demonstrated simple approaches to working with this information. Essentially, it is a large virtual encyclopedia. Most of the activities of the HSE department are aimed at risk management and prevention. Occupational safety involves a multitude of legal acts that are not easy for an untrained specialist to navigate. The electronic platform facilitates work under limited resources and helps quickly make the right decision. It allows for a significant reduction in injury rates, including through the simplicity of presenting information, and the provided materials explain what hazards exist in the workplace and how to avoid them.

The electronic platform from VNII Truda provides everyone with access to methodological materials and electronic services, such as: "Accounting and Review of Micro-injuries", "Audit of the Occupational Risk Management System in Organizations", "Occupational Risk Assessment for Micro-enterprises", "Features of Conducting a Special Assessment of Working Conditions for Micro-enterprises", "Description, Selection, and Operation of PPE and Dermatological PPE", "Investigation and Accounting of Minor Accidents", and "Hazards and Hazardous Events". Experts have developed simple action algorithms, recommendations for implementing necessary measures, and document templates for each service.

The "Useful Information" section presents a systematized database of regulatory legal acts in the field of HSE. It allows employers to improve the HSE management system at their enterprises, as well as take into account the features and specifics of production processes, including the process of assessing and managing occupational risks. In addition, you can watch animated videos that clearly explain such practical HSE issues as the operation of industrial transport, loading and unloading operations, food production, work at height, and many others.

The portal also hosts information materials on various topics, including HSE videos. They can be used when training on HSE rules and conducting briefings for employees. For example, the video briefing for micro-enterprises presents general HSE requirements and electrical safety requirements, covering topics of occupational risks, provision of personal protective equipment, first aid to victims, and HSE for office workers.

You can explore the platform on the website of the FSBI "VNII Truda" of the Ministry of Labor of Russia: https://safe.vcot.info
