HSE TOP 100 Rating Winners Announced
On December 6 and 7, 2023, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the IV Annual HSE DAYS Forum took place, where industrial companies shared their experience in implementing strategies and targeted programs to achieve sustainable development goals.
The forum was attended by more than 400 representatives of the largest holdings and corporations of the Russian Federation – Gazprom Neft, Rosatom, Rosneft, NLMK, Metalloinvest, Uralchem, and others.
"The HSE DAYS project is a large, complex organism in which people of completely different levels collaborate together – from specialists to general directors, united by a great common goal: preserving the life and health of employees. Over 4 years, the project has gained such strength that there are simply no unsolvable tasks for us anymore. I wish each of you to gain this confidence with us, and together we will conduct creative work for the benefit of our country and our people," said the founder of the project, Andrey Prokopenko, at the opening of the forum.
Special attention was paid to the development of a safety culture among top executives. In the session "Leaders on the Frontline: How CEOs Create Safe Corporations," top officials from INK-Capital, Volzhsky Orgsynthese, Knauf Insulation, Tagras-RS, and VMU spoke. The liveliest topic of discussion was finding the optimal balance between safety and efficiency.
At the forum, the establishment of a club of safety guarantors was announced, chaired by the General Director of INK-Capital, Marina Sedykh, with participants being general directors and majority shareholders of industrial sector enterprises. The goal of the club is to form a community of leaders who not only manage effectively but also bear social responsibility, so that through their leadership models and personal example, they can transform the safety culture on a national scale.
The forum concluded with a ceremonial part, during which the winners of the HSE TOP 100 rating were awarded. The laureates who took the top 10 places received the highest HSE DAYS award and an invitation to join the expert council – they will now moderate the rating in 2024.
This year, 366 applications were submitted for participation in the rating. The participants of the rating went through 5 stages of selection, where members of the expert council and participants of the HSE DAYS project acted as the jury. 54 candidates reached the finals, and their names are published below.
