Forewarned is Forearmed!

You can build an ideal system, develop plans, and write excellent training programs, but if you don't convey them to personnel using the right actions and tools, it may all remain unfulfilled.

A properly structured system and well-developed internal communication tools are half the battle and a guarantee that everyone will hear and understand you correctly.

Delivering information must, first and foremost, be in a form that people can understand. I sincerely believe that minimizing text in manuals, posters, and other materials allows people to better perceive and remember information. Materials should convey your message to employees visually and clearly, yet concisely and interestingly.

To attract employee attention to HSE issues at T Plus PJSC production sites, we developed a Pin-Up style calendar in 2021.

When working on the sketches, we decided to move away from the objectification of women typical of this style. However, some of the aesthetics of mid-20th-century American posters were preserved. Women feel confident in any profession and, most importantly, know how to make the workplace safe — which was the main message of the calendar. The beauty and freshness of the heroines on the posters symbolize solely physical health and a positive atmosphere in the workplace.

In addition to the main situational theme, hidden subtexts were added to each sketch that only a keen observer might notice. For example, July is an homage to the famous 1932 photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper," and October is a reference to a scene from the movie "Back to the Future." The choice of month for the poster here is also not accidental.

Through this unconventional presentation of information, we managed to draw employees' attention to existing issues and emphasize:

- the need for first aid courses and knowledge in this field;

- the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during specialized work;

- inspecting industrial premises when performing work;

- the need to wear helmets with the chin strap fastened, etc.

As a result, since December, the company has seen a twofold reduction in workplace injuries.

We are open to cooperation; you can download the T Plus PJSC calendar at the following link:

Adopt the practices of your colleagues and look for new tools, because safety is in our hands!

Alexander, your posters are gorgeous! Although there is some light objectification of women, it is done tastefully and fulfills its function — attracting attention — perfectly. Special kudos to the captions — concise, witty, and to the point.
Wishing you continued success!
