25 November 2023 🇷🇺 Original: русский 1 min read

In this article, we discuss the importance of CSR projects in ensuring safety and spreading a Safety Culture throughout society. Nowadays, obtaining information on safe behavior is becoming a key aspect, and employers play a significant role here by actively participating in the creation and development of CSR projects.

CSR projects serve as an important channel for transmitting safety culture, where company employees are not only recipients of information but also its carriers, spreading safe practices within their families and communities. (see Fig. 1)

Methods of employee engagement can vary and include:

  • competitions
  • practical sessions
  • safety days
  • training in "hazard hunting" methods
  • flash mobs and other activities

It is important that participation in these events is not only useful but also interesting for employees, stimulating their active participation and engagement.

Employers also have the opportunity to train their employees in methods of effectively communicating information to others, providing them with the necessary tools. Employees who have mastered the roles of safety culture ambassadors can become key figures, transmitting knowledge and examples of safe behavior both at work and in everyday life.

As a result of implementing CSR projects, all parties benefit:

  • society becomes safer for everyone
  • people develop conscious safe behavior, which in turn makes them valuable employees with a high safety culture
  • companies gain a favorable society capable of safely consuming goods and services

It is important that not only large employers consider it necessary and useful to conduct CSR projects to spread Safety Culture.
