Ensuring the health of employees at remote sites is one of the key tasks for companies with a wide geographical presence. In the context of an aging workforce and staff shortages, traditional methods of medical control are becoming less effective. Evgeny Kuzmichev, Deputy Director of the HSE Department at Rosgeologia, shares his experience in implementing telemedicine technologies for remote medical examinations.
The speaker analyzes the prerequisites for the transition to telemedicine, including the need to increase competitiveness in the labor market and optimize medical care costs. The implementation of remote medical examinations became possible due to changes in legislation, in particular, the entry into force of Federal Law 629-FZ.
The presentation details the benefits of telemedicine for both the employer and the employee. For the company, this means not only reducing costs compared to traditional VHI, but also increasing the value of the social package. Employees, in turn, get 24/7 access to medical consultations without the need for in-person visits.
Using Rosgeologia as an example, the speaker shows how the implementation of telemedicine helps identify violations during medical examinations, such as faking or identity substitution. The use of automated terminals eliminates the possibility of "making a deal" with the device, which significantly increases the objectivity of control.
Despite the obvious advantages, the implementation of telemedicine faces a number of difficulties. One of the main problems is the instability of the internet connection at remote sites. Evgeny notes that for the equipment to work correctly, a stable ping is required, which is not always possible to ensure in remote regions.
In addition, the speaker draws attention to the distrust of some workers towards new technologies. Overcoming this barrier requires time and systematic work to explain the benefits of telemedicine.
