Safety is not a formality.

A prime example is the recent rollover of a crew bus in Kuzbass, where 6 out of 18 people in the cabin were not wearing seatbelts. This situation could have ended much more tragically.

Traffic accident statistics are not just numbers, but a harsh reality:

🚗 In a crash at 80 km/h, a passenger's weight increases 80 times. Without a seatbelt, the chances of survival drop drastically.

🚗 A seatbelt in the front seat saves a life in 50% of cases.

🚗 In a frontal collision, the risk of death and severe injury is reduced by half; in a side impact, by 1.8 times.

🚗 A buckled-up passenger in the back seat also saves the driver's life: 80% of drivers could have survived if the rear passengers had used their seatbelts.

At JSC SUEK-Kuzbass, transport safety is given paramount attention. A corresponding order has been issued, and an online monitoring system for seatbelt use is being implemented for real-time control.

The system being implemented at JSC SUEK-Kuzbass is a set of hardware and software solutions that operates on the following principle:

  • Data collection: Video analytics cameras are installed in the cabin of company vehicles, directed at the passenger seats.
  • Real-time analysis: Specialized software records the video stream 24/7.
  • Violation recording: The detection of a violation (unfastened seatbelt) is recorded via photo capture, identifying the seat location, date, and time.
  • Response and control: Responsible persons (e.g., the department head or HSE specialist) receive a notification about the violation. This allows them to promptly contact the driver to stop the violation and conduct further preventive work with the employee.

Result: The system turns scattered observations into manageable data, allowing not just to record, but to systematically eradicate violations, shaping a safety culture. This is not "total control," but an effective tool to protect the life and health of every worker.

A single click of a seatbelt is a simple habit that saves lives. Do not neglect it.
