ANALYTICS - IMPROVING WORKING CONDITIONS - TRAINING
Occupational safety legislation in 2021-2022 suddenly shifted! It turned 180 degrees toward people, adopting the best trends from the human resources management industry.
By implementing a risk-based approach to HSE management, the system is now built on three pillars: analytics, improving working conditions, and training.
The goal of analytics is to identify health risks for employees. Data sources include medical examination results, inspections, workplace assessments, and causes of injuries and occupational diseases.
The goal of improving working conditions is to eliminate or reduce health risks for employees. This includes work-rest schedules, hygiene standards, sanitary and living conditions, and the provision of PPE.
The goal of training is to form new habits of safe behavior. The state promotes continuous learning, interest in HSE, and practical application.
And these pillars dictate the competency requirements for HSE specialists. They must possess interdisciplinary, cross-cutting thinking and the ability to combine previously incompatible things — safety and creativity.
