Salym Petroleum Development summarizes the results of safety culture development

Since 2015, Salym Petroleum Development has been continuously developing and strengthening the position of its Safe Production Culture to engage and ensure the safety of more and more people, and to achieve high operational and HSE performance indicators. All SPD employees, as well as employees of contractor organizations working at the Salym group of fields, are involved in this.

The results are evident: for the first time in its history, SPD managed to work 542 days without a Lost Time Injury (LTI). The Lost Time Injury Frequency in 2019 was 0.1, which is a qualitative leap forward.

Not only was the target value of 0.6 approved by SPD shareholders exceeded, but also the company's ambitious goal of 0.4. This is a unique and record-breaking achievement for a company that has been operating for 16 years.

Occupational safety is a value and priority of the company in all its endeavors; employees intervene in unsafe work practices on a daily basis and are confident that management supports them in this. Indifference is disappearing – people are genuinely trying to help each other, and there are no longer cases where SPD representatives and contractors are unwilling to meet each other halfway. A culture of care and concern for each other's safety is clearly manifesting itself.
