Organizing medical examinations and monitoring employee health in companies with a wide geographic footprint is a complex task requiring unconventional approaches. The speaker analyzes the experience of the regional sales division, whose facilities (a network of gas stations and oil depots) are located in 44 regions of the Russian Federation. The main challenge for the business in these conditions is the need to provide 24/7 medical examinations and minimize the dependency between HR departments and health protection units.
To solve the coordination problem, an independent interactive platform was implemented. It ensures transparent operations with 120 medical institutions across the country. The system stores ready-made medical referrals with pre-recorded harmful factors for each position in a non-editable format. This eliminates the possibility of HR specialists arbitrarily reducing the scope of medical examinations to speed up hiring, leaving them only to fill in the candidate's personal data.
Special attention in the presentation is given to monitoring drivers of light and heavy vehicles. Traditional pre-trip inspections are often formal: production control revealed situations where dozens of drivers had perfect blood pressure recorded. The implementation of remote medical examinations (RME) eliminated the human factor and provided objective, independent data on the health status of employees before they start their routes.
Based on RME data and standard medical examinations, risk groups are formed monthly. Employees with blood pressure abnormalities or a high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (SCORE 5 and above) mandatorily undergo an in-depth medical examination according to corporate standards. The speaker emphasizes that the goal of these measures is not suspension from work, but the prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases and the reduction of disability.
Health care extends not only to production personnel but also to office employees (including 24/7 dispatch centers). Health marathons, individual consultations with doctors, and preventive measures are held for them. In addition, the company conducts quarterly depersonalized employee surveys to assess the quality of services in partner clinics, allowing for prompt responses to local issues.
