🛡️ Safety: When Business Becomes a Game of Fire

🛡️ Safety: When Business Becomes a Game of Fire

The words "safety," "operational efficiency," and especially "corporate culture" make many executives yawn. This reaction is understandable: in the eternal pursuit of EBITDA, they are overwhelmed with more important matters.

Unfortunately, in this hustle, even very experienced leaders often miss the main point — their business is already standing on the edge of a precipice.

Spotting this in time and saving your company from disaster is not that difficult. You only need to look at occupational safety indicators. They are the primary indicator of a business's "health."

As my colleagues at DuPont used to say, safety is not rocket science, and it is the easiest thing to manage.

If you don't manage safety, you don't manage anything!

Safety is not a game of "catch me if you can," as employees in production and offices often think. It is not a game at all!

If safety is just "make-believe," consider the threat to your people and your business already created and very real.

Unfortunately, the incident feed over recent months clearly confirms this. 💥

Safety cannot be bought like a thing or a service. It must be built: patiently and consistently, winning the trust, minds, and hearts of your colleagues and subordinates step by step.

Only true leaders are capable of organizing such work — those driven not by EBITDA and stock prices, but by what is more valuable than money and personal career.

Leadership doesn't work any other way.

It's a pity that not all "captains of industry" understand this.

Isn't that right, colleagues? 🤔
