Communication is one of the most important tools for interacting with contractors. We use this tool throughout the entire lifecycle of working with contractors.
I will share one of the communication practices with contractors that we implement at OTEKO throughout the entire duration of work on site. This communication is called "Safety Day."
Safety Day is held monthly in every OTEKO division, including contractor organizations. The event for contractors is chaired by the Construction Director.
Participants include heads of the general contractor, heads of contractor and subcontractor organizations, heads of the client, and managers and specialists from the Production Safety Directorate.
The agenda includes the following issues:
The meeting covers exclusively production safety issues. Speakers at the meeting include both client and contractor managers.
This event serves as a common communication platform. In addition to providing information, it is a discussion space where anyone can raise a topic for discussion.
