The corporate system for interacting with contractors in the field of HSE is based on the requirements of the standard "Interaction with Contractors on Compliance with Industrial Safety Requirements".
The unification of this document made it possible to increase the passing threshold for "reliable" contractors by an average of three times, specifically by screening out obviously suspicious ones.
The standard defines a unified procedure for working with contractors, including requirements for their competencies and training, the availability of training in the specific area of work, industrial safety certification, and the provision of PPE.
Average costs for contractor compliance checks decreased by 30% due to the optimization of inspections in accordance with checklists and standard norms.
In 2024, ALROSA updated its approach to contractor management. To increase the transparency of requirements, the Company intensified its focus on the high-quality preparation of technical specifications, analyzed data on contractors, and adjusted the terms of contracts. In particular, penalties for violating HSE requirements were revised upwards.
Before contractors are admitted to perform work, an introductory meeting is held with the participation of the HSE department and the management of the structural division. The meeting covers the planned work, requirements for its safe execution, as well as the list of necessary documents and permits.
On average, violations identified during inspections by regulatory authorities (RTN, GIT, RPN) decreased by half. Fines imposed on officials decreased by 40% in quantitative terms and by 50% in monetary terms.
In addition, ALROSA works on monitoring supplier safety. Inspections include online and offline audits aimed at assessing product quality, production capacity, and compliance with safety requirements.
Inspections are conducted at least once a quarter.
In 2024, on-site audits were conducted at fabric manufacturing plants in China, workwear sewing factories and safety footwear manufacturers in Russia, as well as an online audit of printed materials production. Thanks to these inspections, the Company promptly identified violations of the technological process and HSE requirements at one of the safety footwear manufacturing plants and decided to terminate cooperation with them.
