As part of the changes in work planning and execution approaches, a practice of ranking tasks by risk category was introduced.
The problem being addressed is the modification of planning and control processes for higher-risk maintenance tasks compared to lower-risk ones.
Essentially, tasks are distributed across several risk levels based on internal company historical data, industry trends, open data sources, and the experience of leading companies in injury management.
As part of this case study, the concept of "task risk category" was integrated into the work planning process. Three categories were identified (low-risk, medium-risk, and high-risk tasks), and it was determined which types of work accounted for the highest number of injuries or near-misses.
