During the internship, future managers realize that they need to defend the results of their internship. This takes the form of a report at a meeting, i.e., a public presentation. Essentially, preparing this report involves many essential skills crucial for a manager: communication skills, the ability to synthesize information, and, of course, developing an action strategy.

Having worked with managers for over a year now, former internship participants answered the question: “Was the internship useful for you? What have you started applying in your work since the internship?” as follows:
“...My perceptions of my role and goals changed after the internship; since I previously held an operational position, this was very useful for me...”;
“...The internship is very useful in terms of synthesizing results...”;
“...I have started using risk assessment more frequently...”
The final and, as it turned out, most difficult part for aspiring managers is delivering the report at a meeting with senior management. Perhaps it was the presentation itself that caused the most anxiety for everyone.
