In the modern industrial environment, communication with personnel on safety issues ceases to be a formality and becomes a critical tool. Ekaterina Golubeva, Head of the HSE Department at RMNTK Nefteotdacha, uses practical examples to show how a well-structured dialogue helps not only to inform employees about risks but also to prevent accidents, developing a safety culture at all levels.
One of the basic yet effective methods is visualization. The speaker analyzes the system of information boards installed in each crew. They contain not only dry rules but also ratings, days without incidents, lessons learned, and 5S workplace organization schemes. Special attention is paid to the signs before entering the facilities: the introduction of QR codes allowed briefings to be converted into a video format. Demonstrating the real consequences of violations (based on recordings of command and staff drills) acts as a powerful preventive factor.
The presentation details the transition to digital channels. The development of the "Target Zero" mobile application solves the problem of information access for remote employees. The app includes a reference system, the ability to record violations online, gamified training, and the submission of rationalization proposals. In parallel, a thematic Telegram group operates successfully, where employees not only receive news but also initiate discussions themselves, participate in quizzes (using chatbots), and compete for the title of "Safety Black Belt".
The speaker demonstrates by example how an anonymous hotline helps identify hidden problems — from the quality of PPE to catering conditions. Every appeal is processed, which increases the team's trust. Equally important is the idea submission system: employees propose improvements that are evaluated by the technical council. Both material and non-material motivation (a point system with exchange for valuable prizes) are provided for successful initiatives. Out of 24 proposed ideas in the field of occupational safety, 14 have already been successfully implemented.
